Divorce Attorney in Hardeeville, SC

Charleston-based HIC Land, a land investment company and master-planned community developer, is investing $36 million into the next master-planned Lowcountry community.

According to a news release, the community, Carolina Station, will be on 2,600 acres of the historic Morgan Tract in Hardeeville. The development will be along U.S. Highway 278, bordering the Georgia state line.

“This groundbreaking represents more than just the start of construction, it marks the realization of a vision to create a thriving community that blends opportunity and quality of life,” Stefan Hoyer, founder and CEO of HIC Land, said in the release. “Our team has worked closely with city leaders and state partners to ensure Carolina Station complements the exciting infrastructure improvements already transforming the area. Local and national developers pursued this land for more than 25 years without success, so we’re proud to be the team that finally brought it across the finish line.”

HIC Land partnered with D.R. Horton, a national home builder, to build Carolina Station. According to the release, the master-planned community will include houses, commercial space, parks, nature trails and sidewalks.

“This project reflects Hardeeville’s commitment to thoughtful, sustainable growth,” Hardeeville Mayor Harry Williams said in the release. “We need nurses, first responders and teachers — and they need quality starter homes like what D.R. Horton is building. Carolina Station will bring housing, jobs and new opportunities to our community while strengthening the infrastructure that supports our city and region.”

The development will be completed in phases over the next few years contributing to up to 8,500 local jobs, the release said.

“This is an extraordinary opportunity to deliver one of D.R. Horton’s flagship communities,” Brad Brundage, president of D.R. Horton’s Coastal Carolina region, said in the release. “Together with HIC Land, we’re creating a place that residents will be proud to call home for generations.”

RIDGELAND, SC (WTOC) - For over a decade, Hardeeville and Ridgeland were united as one. That changed last year when the two schools split. But this year will be the first time their football teams face off since that split. And as this week’s Game of the Week, WTOC will have all of the action from it on The End Zone Friday night.

Hardeeville enters the matchup on a four-game losing skid, but while the wins have been tough to find, the team feels they continue to improve week after week.

A new twist to the lineup this Friday features freshman quarterback Kyrin Jamison starting under center, a move his teammates and coaching staff have full confidence in, as they head into this crosstown rivalry in search of a much-needed win.

“A win Friday night would be huge, not simply because of the rivalry, but it’s also a region game, and that’s the most important thing that we are striving for, is to do well in the region because that’s a big implication on playoff seedings,” said Hardeeville head coach Arthur Gardner. “But of course, you can’t undermine the rivalry.”

“It’s the big talk around town this week,” said Hardeeville senior receiver and cornerback Camari Brown. “It’s been the big talk since the summer, so I feel like it will mean a lot to all of us. Every time (we’re) in school, we’re always saying we’re waiting for Ridgeland, and we’re ready for the game. Everybody is just ready for Friday.”

Over on the home sideline, Ridgeland is just as amped up for the first installment of this rivalry game, but they’re doing their best to keep a level head and approach it as any other region game.

The Jaguars got their first win of the season in dominant fashion last week (a 70-20 win over Burke) and will be hoping to ride that momentum into Friday’s matchup.

Head coach Reginald Alexander said he was happy to see his team’s run game come alive last week, but he still needs his guys to fine-tune other aspects of the game.

“(We need to be) a little bit more disciplined,” said Alexander. “We’re still making little mistakes -- missing a block here, pick up a penalty here. I’d really like to see that cleaned up. We’ve been telling them all week, we understand you have friends over there, we understand you guys hang out together, but at the end of the say, we do have a game to play, so keep it level, just follow the rules, and play the game.”

“There’s always work to be done,” said Ridgeland senior linebacker Michael Rodriguez. “Like Coach says, stay disciplined, stay level-headed, put the work in day in and day out, and we should be fine.”

Kickoff between Hardeeville and Ridgeland is set for 7:30 p.m. at Jaguar Stadium.

HARDEEVILLE, S.C. — JLL Capital Markets has secured $115 million in financing for three industrial buildings located within RiverPort Commerce Park in Hardeeville, roughly 10 miles from the Port of Savannah. The portfolio, which comprises Riverport buildings 5, 6 and 7, totals roughly 1.3 million square feet. Bobby Norwood, Mark Sixour, Kelsey Bawcombe and Austin Smith of JLL arranged the loan on behalf of the borrowers, North Signal Capital and EJF Capital LLC. Synovus and City National Bank provided the loan.

RiverPort 5 spans 130,436 square feet and features a rear-load configuration, 34 dock-high doors and 32-foot clear heights. RiverPort 6 encompasses 402,491 square feet in a front-load design with 94 dock-high doors and 36-foot clear heights. The largest facility, RiverPort 7, spans 791,259 square feet in a cross-dock configuration with 154 dock-high doors and 36-foot clear heights.

The three-building portfolio is currently 87 percent leased to various tenants such as logistics providers, consumer products distributors and security system manufacturers.

TALLAHASSEE, FLA. — A joint venture between Landmark Properties and Manulife Investment Management has completed The Mark Tallahassee, an 860-bed student housing development near the Florida State University (FSU) campus in Tallahassee. The development team for the project included Dwell Design and Landmark Construction.

Located at 675 W. Lafayette St., the development comprises three mid-rise buildings offering 202 fully furnished units ranging in configurations from studio to six-bedrooms. The property also offers VIP penthouse-style units with upgraded technology and appliance packages, as well as oversized common rooms with pool tables. Amenities include an 8,900-square-foot rooftop clubhouse with a pool and sun shelf overlooking the Doak S. Campbell football stadium; a fitness center with a cold plunge and sauna; 24-hour study lounge; gathering space with a grilling station; fire pits and a Jumbotron; and an additional outdoor fitness center. The Mark Tallahassee was fully leased ahead of FSU’s 2025-2026 academic year.
