Clay Walker
Clay currently leads the Automotive Team at Cobb Hammett. Over the past 25 years, he has developed an extensive practice representing automotive dealers in mergers and acquisitions, consumer complaints, manufacturer and vendor disputes, products liability, and other personal injury matters. His clients include two of the top 10 largest dealer groups in the United States.
Beyond automotive, Clay has spent his career working with clients across numerous industries, including government agencies, construction, steel fabrication, and wholesale plant nurseries, helping solve a wide range of internal and third-party challenges.
Clay has been recognized by Best Lawyers in America since 2020. He has also represented South Carolina on the Uniform Law Commission (ULC) since 2012, where he has chaired various committees.
Outside the office, Clay enjoys cooking, golfing, working out, and reading. He also devotes time to what he affectionately calls his “Nerd Lawyer Group,” the ULC, and to playing with his family’s massive dog.
